The Harry Wilson Group, born out of the rich musical tapestry of Philadelphia and nurtured in the vibrant jazz scenes of Virginia, is a testament to the power of collaboration and creativity. Led by vibraphonist extraordinaire Harry Wilson, the group's journey began in
2019, when Harry, a graduate of the esteemed Granoff Music School in Philadelphia, joined forces with drummer Michael Hoggard. Michael's lineage in music, with a cousin as renowned educator and vibraphonist Jay Hoggard, added depth to the ensemble's dynamic.

Their inaugural performances in 2019 showcased their talent across the East Coast jazz festival circuit, gracing stages from intimate clubs to esteemed institutions like Hampton University. As they navigated the Tidewater area's musical landscape, their sound evolved, drawing inspiration from the diverse cultural influences that surrounded them.

In a serendipitous turn of fate, the ensemble welcomed a cadre of world-class musicians into their fold. Bassist Jack Daily, saxophonist Atiba Taylor, and pianist Thomas Kehoe brought their own unique perspectives and virtuosity, elevating the group's musicality to new heights.

A pivotal moment arrived when the Harry Wilson Group made their mark at the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts Jazz series in Richmond, Virginia. This performance solidified their reputation as a force to be reckoned with in the jazz community, captivating audiences with their mesmerizing blend of tradition and innovation.

Combining Harry's masterful vibraphone melodies with Michael's rhythmic prowess, the ensemble creates an enthralling sonic landscape that transcends boundaries. Their music reflects a deep reverence for the jazz tradition while fearlessly exploring new frontiers.

As they continue to captivate audiences with their electrifying performances, the Harry Wilson Group remains steadfast in their commitment to pushing the boundaries of jazz and spreading the joy of music far and wide. With each note they play, they forge connections,
inspire creativity, and leave an indelible mark on the world of jazz.
